Missing Teeth to a New Smile in Just One Day!

Traditionally, the process of having a tooth restored, or having multiple or all of your teeth replaced was a fairly lengthy process. With dental implants, patients would often have to go a period of several months with no teeth while the implant healed. Thanks to advances in techniques and technology, we can now place implants and a new set of teeth the same day!

Teeth In A Day

An implant is a man-made titanium tooth root. The implant is placed into the bone and then a tooth or teeth are placed on top of that.  For a full arch of teeth that need to be replaced, a screwed in, Fixed Hybrid Bridge is attached to the implants the same day they are placed.

The implants and the arch stabilize each other, allowing for optimum healing and function. This gives you a permanent set of teeth the same day that your old teeth are removed.  They don’t have to be taken out and you don’t need adhesives.

We use the minimum number of implants (four) to support the maximum number of teeth (a full arch). The angle at which the back implants are placed allows us to support more teeth with fewer implants. They are very comfortable as they don’t press down on your gums and can help restore your facial features.  You can eat all your favorite foods while experiencing the hot, cold and taste of your food.

Dr. Leedy uses this technique as his experience has shown that it gives more strength to the set of teeth being placed on them. Very careful planning must be done in order to position the implants correctly for the optimum fit.  This is where our 3D CAT scan technology comes into play as we are able to get precise placement using this technology.

Healing Teeth

The first set of teeth that are placed on the implants are called healing teeth. These teeth are placed on the implants, in the beginning, to allow the bone to heal and fuse to the implants. Once this is accomplished, you will come back in where a permanent set of teeth that has been customized and designed just for you will be placed.

We Make You Totally Comfortable

Our goal is to make every patient as comfortable as possible and that is especially true when it comes to placing implants.  That is why we offer sedation services in our office.  Most everyone opts for the IV sedation.  You can rest assured that we will make you comfortable through the entire procedure.

If you have questions about sedation, give us a call.  We are always happy to help discuss your options.
